LEAD CAME

Legend has it that Lead Came first appeared in the tenth century, with the invention of the stained glass window. Pieces of colored or painted glass were patterned into colorful designs and held together using cast 'H' shaped cross sections of Lead.

Today, however the process not only encompasses stained glass windows, but a variety of items such as Tiffany Lamps, and numerous decorative items for the home such as Door Lights, Sun Catchers, etc. These varied items require different cross sections, with considerations given to design, strength and overall impression the artist wants to project.
